With over two decades of executive leadership experience in marketing and innovation at Visa Inc., PepsiCo, LendingTree, and Expedia Group, Shiv is passionate about building global businesses and driving brand growth. He is also an author, investor, speaker, and advisor to companies across the U.S.
Shiv serves as CEO of Savvy Matters, where he advises leading companies on marketing, artificial intelligence, and business transformation. He is also the Co-Founder of AI Trailblazers, a thought leadership platform that brings together marketers, technologists, founders, and venture capitalists shaping the future of AI.
Previously, as Chief Marketing & Customer Experience Officer at LendingTree—America’s leading financial services marketplace—Shiv led a high-performing team serving over 100 million consumers. Under his leadership, the company was a top 10 search and display advertiser, with an annual media spend of $700 million. Prior to that, he held key marketing and business leadership roles at Expedia Group, Visa Inc., and PepsiCo.
Shiv is a Board Leadership Fellow at the NACD and serves on the board of United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental company. He was recently named to the list of 100 Asian American & Pacific Islander Board Members Making a Difference. Over the years, he has been recognized as a Business Insider CMO to Watch, a Forbes 50 CMO, an Ad Age Media Maven, and an Adweek Top 50 Marketer. He has also been inducted into the American Advertising Federation Hall of Achievement. Shiv is driven by a deep commitment to creating value, driving impact, and fostering positive change for the organizations and communities he supports.
Shiv’s latest book, Marketing with AI For Dummies, was published in October 2024. He is also the author of Savvy: Navigating Fake Companies, Fake Leaders & Fake News and Social Media Marketing For Dummies, which has been translated into seven languages and is now in its fourth edition.
